In a general sense, control strategy design involves developing a control algorithm that effectively manipulates the actuators to meet the needs of the system requirements. The challenge is to achieve the desired system behavior with a limited set of measured variables in the presence of disturbances, measurement noise and part variations. Emmeskay has vast experience in the area of control strategy development for a variety of applications in conventional and emerging vehicle technologies. Using a blend of advanced control techniques and practical implementation ideas, we have provided solutions that have performed well during bench testing and in the field. Our model-based approaches to strategy development results in an implementable control system structure that can be directly used for automatic code generation for the target application. We use a Requirements driven approach to developing control strategy that results in controller elements that are traceable to specific system requirements and can be tested using pre-defined test cases.
